Technologies, substrates and their main biochemical parameters of biogas production and their preparation for transportation by pipelines were analysed in the work. Quality requirements for biogas supplied to the natural gas network applied in other EU countries were reviewed. Preliminary need of investments and operating costs were determined. The cost price of the final product (purified biogas the quality of which meets the requirements set out in other EU countries) was calculated.
